Shireland Collegiate Academy Trust is delighted to announce that Mr Qamar Riaz has been appointed as our new Chief Executive Officer, succeeding Sir Mark Grundy, who will retire at the end of the 2025/26 academic year.
Qamar joins us from Windsor Academy Trust and brings extensive experience in school leadership and improvement. Early in his career, he worked at Shireland Collegiate Academy as Director of Learning, and we are pleased to welcome him back to the Trust to lead it.
Michael Conway Jones, Chair of the Trust Board, said:
