Shireland CBSO Academy is the first state school in the country to be established in partnership with a professional orchestra. City of Birmingham Rockets
Shireland Collegiate Academy is thrilled to launch an innovative basketball training programme for sixth form students in partnership with the City of Birmingham Rockets. As part of the Rockets’ Schools Programme, this initiative offers structured practice sessions, strength and conditioning training, video analysis, and workshops on leadership, nutrition, and mental wellbeing. Students also gain competitive experience through weekly games, promoting both athletic and personal development. Since becoming a Rockets Basketball Hub in 2023, our students have thrived, and this programme continues to empower them to excel on and off the court, enriching both the school and wider community.
