Robert Till

Vice Chair of Trust Board and Chair of Shireland Biomedical UTC’s Standards and Performance Committee

After leaving college, Robert joined West Midlands Ambulance Service (WMAS) on a paramedic training scheme and qualified as one of the youngest paramedics in the country. He has worked for WMAS for over 20 years and has enjoyed a varied career working on ambulances, rapid response vehicles, the air ambulance and specialist operations.

Robert has held several manager roles and has recently moved back to a senior leadership role in ambulance operations, after leading NHS 111 through the COVID pandemic. Robert is in the final stages of his Doctoral study and is proud to advocate to young people his experiences and achievements.

It is extremely important to Robert, that young people of all backgrounds and abilities know that they can succeed and achieve their goals through shear determination and the moto “why not me?”.
