Cem Yalluri
Associate Principal of Tameside Primary Academy
Cem Yalluri is the Associate Principal at Tameside Primary Academy, a role he has held since April 2025. Having been part of the Tameside community since 2020, Cem has played a significant role in the Academy’s continued development and success.

Alongside his leadership responsibilities, Cem oversees the E3L curriculum, teaching and learning, Early Career Teacher development, educational visits, family engagement, staff wellbeing, behaviour and rewards. He also serves as an Induction Tutor for Birmingham City University associate teachers, supporting the next generation of educators as they begin their careers.
Prior to becoming Associate Principal, Cem served as Vice Principal with responsibility for the E3L curriculum and teaching and learning at Tameside Primary Academy. Before this, he was Assistant Principal leading teaching and learning at the Academy and previously worked as Assistant Headteacher at Joseph Turner Primary School in Tipton, where he led on teaching, learning and teacher development.
Among his key career achievements, Cem is particularly proud of helping Tameside Primary Academy achieve a Good judgement with Outstanding elements from Ofsted. He also played a role in the Academy being recognised by the Secretary of State for the exceptional progress made by disadvantaged pupils.
Cem holds a degree in Sport and Exercise Science and a PGCE in Primary Education from the University of Wolverhampton. He has completed the NPQML and NPQSL qualifications and is currently undertaking the NPQH.
His passion for education was inspired by his parents, who always encouraged him to value learning, and by the teachers who had a positive influence on his own life. What continues to drive him is the belief that schools have the power to change the trajectory of a child’s future. He believes that every day presents an opportunity to remove barriers, build confidence, spark curiosity and help children recognise their own potential.
Cem is committed to creating a supportive and inclusive environment where every child feels valued. He believes in knowing pupils as individuals, maintaining strong relationships with families, being visible and approachable, and encouraging open communication across the school community. He also places great importance on staff wellbeing and professional growth, leading by example through values such as respect, fairness and empathy.
Outside of school, Cem enjoys keeping active through sport and exercise, reading, and spending quality time with his family.
