Children at Shireland Technology Primary hosted a cultural celebration day focused on diversity, inclusion and anti-bullying.
The event included a session led by students from Shireland Collegiate Academy, who spoke about the importance of kindness and respect. They also shared information about different cultures from around the world.
Throughout the day, pupils took part in activities exploring cultural heritage and identity. Children wore clothing representing their cultural backgrounds and joined in discussions, dance sessions and classroom-based activities linked to global traditions.
The day ended with a whole-school assembly where pupils shared presentations and performances with their peers, reflecting what they had learned.
Associate Principal, Andy Collins, said: “It was a pleasure to see our children engaged throughout the day, showing pride in their own identities and a genuine interest in the experiences of others. The visit from Shireland Collegiate Academy reinforced an important message about how we treat one another in school and beyond.
“Kindness, respect and inclusion are not optional values for us; they are essential to how our community functions every day. Opportunities like this help children understand that in a very real and practical way.”
The celebration formed part of Shireland Technology Primary’s wider focus on equality and inclusion, aiming to foster a school community where every child feels valued, respected and able to take pride in their identity.
